Hi, Marie. I left St. Marys in 1956, so I can't remember you at all though a Michael Hildyard was in my class at Sacred Heart - is he related to you at all? I remember he lived quite close to the school then. You probably knew my cousin Peter as he's a couple of years younger than me. I was always in the same class as Pauline Lyons, Pat Bilton and Angela Purdon and can remember the names of lots of people who were in the class. Regards, Margaret

Hi Marie - yes I can remember Auntie Kitty's Dad - he was bedridden when I use to visit her with my Mum but I remember him as a really nice man. Mam said Kitty was a wonderful daughter. We were talking about him and others in Kitty's family the last time I saw her just before she was taken into hospital for the last time. I felt I got on really well with Lorraine, Muriel's daughter, when I met her at the funeral. I took her telephone number but I have lost it somehow. I also like Tracey, Peter Harrison's daughter, who I got in touch with again on this website. John and Mike (Hildyard) were going to keep in touch after we all met a few years'ago at Auntie Hilda's as John was into family history but with his wife, Sheila,' s illness and life in general I dont think they kept it up. Anyway, it's nice to hear from you again.

Hi Marie ! Do you girls remember the awful navy blue gymslips we had to wear until we were about 11 ? Thankfully we were able to wear our own stuff after that! I remember ripping my black stockings off to get on the bus--(Freezing my legs off) then putting them on again just before I got to school ! I remember Miss Ryder telling me to take my stiff net underskirt off -in front of the class- and she confiscated it ! (I was 14 then .) We could not wear entirely what we wanted to! If she could see what the girls wear now! And didn't we hate having to run accross the yard in pouring rain, to the girls Loo ! Do you remember going to assembly, and having to keep quiet? That must have been hard for the hyper kids ! I think it was an hour but it seemed like 3 . Pat Giblin came to see me for 4 days , 10 yrs ago-she and her husband Frank was here in Canada for a holiday We had not seen each other since we were 15! We had a realy great time with them . I am so glad my sister sent me this site! The photo of you-I think you are wearing a cowboy hat- Was it taken in Blackpool Marie? I have a photo of Me with same hat -I will put it on my profile . I think I was 16 ......Love ,Carol

Hi Marie-don't think I replied to this-I started to then got distracted , last night! Thanks for the compliment! I remember you so well, from this photo-(Its a great photo) you were a pretty girl , and had a good personality too! We always got along good, and had some lgood laughs , with Hillary too. It does not seem like so many yrs ago does it? I will post a recent photo -with my grandkids , when my husband puts them on computer for me-(I can't do it) I do remember the name-Pat Nelson . Also Janet Bayes , but can't recall Cathy .We have just had our 20th aniversary too ! That went fast! I always wished I had lived near school, like you, I had to get a bus every day . i remember one day Hilary and me decided we would take the day off school, we went to East park instead , had a good time -was you with us? I was about 14 then . I am so glad your life turned out good Marie- You have a few more grandkids than me--I only have 2 -they are twins, boy- girl.11yrs old now! I look after them after school . Do yours live close by ? Are you retired now from teaching ,Marie? - CAROL
